Replacement Instructions: Disassembly
Remove the Battery
Unscrew the plastic coupler just behind the main metal bezel. This will keep your reflector and rentention washer in place.
Place the entire assembly in a safe, dust-free area.
NOTE the configuration of the retention clips that hold the base in place.
Carefully remove the retention clip screws that are located on either side of the HID Lamp Base.
Remove the clips and carefully remove the Lamp.
Do not touch the Lamp with your fingers.Use a soft tissue or similar material to avoid getting residue or oil on the lamp.
Remove the electrical connection to the Lamp.
Resassembly
While the lamp and base are still free, reassemble the clips in their original configuration relative to the lamp base and place the screws into the clip hooks.
Carefully place the clips and screws onto the Lamp Base.
Take the lamp base, along with the clips/screw and carefully place into the pocket for the lamp base. Ensure there is no impingement on the electrical wires and the Lamp Base is properly seated.
Carefully tighten the retention clip screws once you have aligned them.
Re-establish the electrical connection to the Lamp.
Clean the lamp if necessary with a soft tissue or similar material.
Carefully replace the bezel assembly by aligning it up with the threads on the body.Ensure that you do not make hard contact with the lamp as the lamp is guided through the hole in the reflector.
Tighten the bezel assembly fully, ensuring you are not cross-threading the plastic coupler with the body.
